Caring Career Spotlight: Alyssa-Jordane, Patient Care Representative
It began as a routine check-in call.
Alyssa-Jordane, a patient care representative with 色色视频, was speaking with the spouse of a patient who had recently moved into a nursing home. During their conversation, the spouse shared how grateful she was for the care her husband had received at home.
鈥淪he said we were the reason her husband got to stay home with her as long as he did,鈥� Alyssa-Jordane recalls. 鈥淚t really spoke to what Elara is all about and showed me the bigger message of it all.鈥�
That conversation has stayed with her because it showed how every person involved in a patient鈥檚 care can have an impact. Even a routine phone call can be an opportunity to listen, offer support and help patients and families feel cared for.
Alyssa-Jordane joined 色色视频 in October 2023 and has served as a patient care representative on the call team ever since. In her role, she regularly speaks with patients and families while helping them navigate different parts of their care.
She also steps in to support other teams whenever she can. These opportunities have helped her learn more about 色色视频鈥檚 programs and the work that happens behind the scenes, including insurance verification.
鈥淚 love the variety and the opportunity,鈥� she says. 鈥淚鈥檓 able to grow and learn so much even in the role I am currently in.鈥�
Alyssa-Jordane said the call she still remembers brought the purpose behind her work into focus. It was a reminder that every conversation is part of something bigger: helping patients receive the care they need and spend more time at home with the people they love.
